Sweet and salty with just a hint of smoky chipotle. These cinnamon sugar coated Keto Crunchy Candied Nuts require little effort yet yield flavor perfection.

This recipe is so easy and quick with just 6 steps. My hubby is already addicted to these “crack” nuts. I mean, seriously, how can you go wrong with 3 of the more keto friendly nuts, sweet, salty, and a teenie bit of spice?

1. In small bowl, mix Swerves, cinnamon, chipotle, and salt together.

2. Whisk melted butter, egg white, vanilla, and 1 Tbsp water until frothy.

3. Toss nuts in egg white mixture.

4. Add dry ingredients on top and stir until evenly coated.

5. Spread coated pecans in a single layer onto lined baking sheet.

6. Bake!

BAM! You’re done. Easy enough, right?

HINT: After nuts cool, I break them apart and flip them over. Moisture tends to settle more underneath against the parchment paper and will take longer to dry out.

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup Swerve granular
  • 1/2 cup Swerve Brown or another 1/2 cup Swerve granular
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp chipotle chili pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 cup butter melted and cooled
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts dry roasted and lightly salted
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 cup walnuts
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 300F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In small bowl, mix Swerves, cinnamon, chipotle, and salt together.
  3. In separate medium bowl, whisk melted butter, egg white, vanilla, and 1 Tbsp water until frothy.
  4. Toss nuts in egg white mixture. Add dry ingredients on top and stir until evenly coated.
  5. Spread coated pecans in a single layer onto lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake in oven for about 30 minutes.

  7. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. Coating will harden as nuts cool.
  8. Store at room temperature in an airtight container up to 3 weeks.
Recipe Notes

If you don’t want the spice, leave out the chipotle pepper. Or if you want the smoky flavor without the spice, try using smoked paprika instead of the chipotle pepper.

You may also substitute cayenne or ancho pepper for the chipotle pepper.

I made these nuts and they are delicious! I am confused on the Net carbs though. It says 2 net carbs because you subtracted the 2 fiber and the 9 sugar alcohols. What I am questioning is with using the swerve is that considered a sugar alcohol or do you have to use erythritol to be able to subtract the sugar alcohols? It made me question this because I see in the nutrition box it says only 1 sugar not 9? So if you subtract 2 fiber and 1 sugar that would be 10 carbs. If you could please let me know how you came to 2 net carbs. Thank you!! I am on keto eating 12 carbs a day and 2 or 10 net carbs is a huge difference. Hopefully it is 2 because they are delicious!

Sorry, I just now caught this comment. Yes, indeed! 2 or 10 is a big difference when you're keto. Swerve is an erythritol blend. It has zero NET carbs. If it's your practice to subtract erythritol, then you're good to go with 2 net carbs. The sugar listed in the nutrition label is naturally occurring sugar found primarily in the spices.
